The Datca peninsula, located on
the southeast of the Mugla city and between the
Gokova gulf and Hisaronu gulf, is where all your
dreams come true thanks to its incredibly clean
sea, fresh air, peerlessly shining sun, natural
beauties and mythological enchantment.
The sea in Datca is so limpid that you can even
speak with the fish. Kızılbuk, Hayıtbuku,
Ovabuku, Palamutbuku and Kargi bays are some of
great choices for either swimming or adding some
excitement to your |
vacation by windsurfing, diving, sailing, and
fishing.
Datca’s remarkably clean sea and fresh air are
believed to have healed the sick in the Middle
Age. This belief is only one of the many, as the
history of Datca dates very back in the past.
The most significant part of this mysticism is
the antique city Knidos, which is considered to
be a colossal center of art and science of its
time. Built in the 8th century BC and moved to
its current location in the 4th century BC for
navigation purposes, only about half an hour
from Datca, Knidos (Cnidus) presents great shots
from history with its Aphrodite statue and
Apollo temple, antique theatres and the most
popular invention of the time: sun clock. Old
Datça (Dadia), shining from the Early
Hellenistic Age, is another exotic sightseeing
choice with its stone houses surrounded with
colorful flowers and trees.
Datca’s local tastes add a lot to your holiday.
Your breakfast will be unforgettable owing to
Datca’s famous pine honey, thyme honey and
olives, and so will be your lunch endowed by
presumably the best olive oil of the world, and
your dinner composed of various kinds of
delicious fish.
Datca’s cuisine is enriched by special herbs and
plants. For instance, the tastiest almond of
Turkey is Datca’s. Take a walk to evergreen
villages Mesudiye and Resadiye storing oxygen
into your lungs and drink Sage
Tea under a gentle breeze. You
would certainly not seek another definition of
happiness thereafter.
Would you like to stroke in the blue that
Aphrodite used to swim? Would you like to color
your summer nights around seafood restaurants,
pubs, cafes and discotheques? Surrounded by a
unique nature and history, would you like to
experience probably your best vacation ever? If
so, please be our guest at the Fora Apart Hotel,
